About Weirpath

One thing, done properly: Apache NiFi.

About Weirpath

Weirpath is a US engineering practice that does one thing: Apache NiFi. We assess running flow estates, carry the NiFi 1 to NiFi 2 migration, build and rework flows and custom processors, and stay on afterwards to keep the cluster operable.

Our clients are data and platform teams in government and its contractors, healthcare and payers, financial services, telecom, utilities and industry. Usually they run NiFi 1.x on-prem or in a private cloud, with anywhere from dozens to several hundred flows, a few custom processors and scripted components, and one to four engineers who inherited the estate from the people who built it.

What makes us different

  • We only do NiFi. It is the practice, not one page in a catalogue.
  • Senior US engineers, billed hourly. The people on the first call do the work, in your change windows and inside your security boundary.
  • Evidence first. A written list of what breaks comes before anyone touches production.
  • We maintain and modernise what runs. NiFi is a mature platform with a large installed base. We do not pitch it as the answer to every data problem, and we do not migrate flows that belong somewhere else.
  • We stay available. After cutover we are still here for tuning and incidents.

Name

A weir is a low barrier across a river that controls and routes the water flowing over it. That is roughly what a NiFi flow does with data, and roughly what we do for the estates that run on it.
